Where:Burgess Hill is situated on the very borders of East and West Sussex approximately 10 miles north of Brighton. Predominantly in West Sussex, a small district in the north east of the town, known as World's End, is actually siutated in East Sussex.
Why Visit:The villages and countryside around Burgess Hill are some of the prettiest to be found in Sussex. The villages of Hurstpierpoint and Ditchling are particularly popular with commuters because of their picturesque houses, assortment of individual shops and good transport connections.
Places of Interest:For horsey types don't miss the All England Jumping Course at Hickstead and for those with an eye for a bargain we recommend the enormous Sayers Common car boot sale which occurs most Sundays from March to October.
